With the new Colorado Broker Education requirement in place, Real Estate Training Center RETC is working in conjunction with Mortgage Training Institute to provide this course online! 

We suggest you do this training as soon as possible so you can take the required state exam.  At the end of the year, it will become very difficult to take your exam and have everything done by January 1, 2009.  We don't want any one to be out of compliance come January!

Colorado Mortgage Broker License Course:  Online

The Colorado Division of Real Estate now requires ALL mortgage brokers to be licensed and to complete a 40-hour license class before January 1, 2009.  Mortgage Training Institute (MTI) is an approved provider of this class. Graduates of this course will be eligible to take the Colorado Mortgage Broker examination for licensing as a mortgage broker working in Colorado.  

 

This 40-hour online training course will cover the required curriculum as set forth by the Colorado Division of Real Estate, including:

  • 19.5 hours of State and Federal Law
  • 16 hours of Mortgage 101
  • 4.5 hours of Business and Trade Practices
  • Free Practice Exams

The online course is broken down into specific, comprehensive class sessions.  These sessions are presented in streaming media (both audio and video), including student interaction.  The sessions may be taken in the order presented or any order chosen by the student. 

 

The online course is available to students 24/7 and will remain active for a period of 180 days (students needing time extensions should contact MTI).  Additionally, students may view the course as many times as needed.  This will allow students the ability to take the course as their schedule permits.

 

Additionally, taking this course will allow you fulfill continuing education requirements for up to 15 additional states.  If you are doing business in multiple states, by taking this course through MTI, you will be able to handle many or all of your licensing education requirements and doing so by only taking one class.  Check with your enrollment counselor on which states this may apply.  This is only available through MTI.
